>1. Melbourne, VictoriaIt used to be my home town, now it's a fantastic place to visit. I love nothing more than a raucous Sunday afternoon at the Labour In Vain Hotel in Fitzroy watching Spoonful play some of the best blues-inspired party music you'll ever hear. For a bit of culture, the Heide Museum of Modern Art is amazing. It's worth the drive out of town. You can also get in the car and head to the Mornington Peninsula and buy something weird and vintage at the Tyabb Packing House Antiques Centre. My old man has a little stall there. He's 72, insane and it's well worth the cost of admission (it's free).>3. Hamilton Island, QueenslandWhen it comes to tops ideas, you don't get any better than replacing cars with golf buggies on this stunning tropical island. Plugging your car into a power point after a day lying in the sun is one of life's great holiday pleasures. If you're looking for a romantic getaway, you can't go past Qualia. When you enter the main pavilion on arrival, the view is absolutely breathtaking. The only downside is that I didn't pick my masseuse's gender in advance and I ended up getting a rub-down from a bloke who looked like Andrew Gaze.>4. Easter Island>5. London, EnglandOne of my favourite trips ever was going on tour with my band to London. Gigs at night, then walking off the hangover at the Tate Modern, the Imperial War Museum and the Churchill Museum and Cabinet War Rooms €” male bonding at its best. London is also unreal for star spotting. In 10 minutes we saw Ian Botham, Ricky Gervais and Annie Lennox. Sure, we were outside their houses with night-vision glasses but, hey, that's all part of the experience.Tim Ross is a comedian and Nova 96.9 radio host.
