AT Wyong racecourse stewards use golf buggies to drive to their vantage points around the track.

But one stipe has been admonished and told he must always do the right thing even if it is not driving on the road. The steward was driving to his tower when his phone rang, and while answering the call he ran into the running rail.

There was more embarrassment than damage, but jockeys certainly had plenty of fun with a mock inquiry and the decision that he should be suspended for life.
